IDEATIONS
Ideations are a wholesale retailer and also run a catalogue. They buy gift items in bulk and then smaller retailers purchase from them.
In 2003 two versions of the Beanie Baby Star were introduced, one with a gold star and one with a blue star. Star with a blue star was exclusive to Ideations stores and Star with a gold star was available to all Ty retailers. Apart from the colour of the star the two bears are identical, excepting that Star with a blue star has a small addition on the inside left of the hang tag after the Ty locations list which says "For Skip... our special angel". This is in memory of Skip Ungrodt, founder of Ideations who had passed away earlier that year.
